Հայաստանում հոկտեմբերի 1-ի դրությամբ մշտական բնակչությունը 3 միլիոն 013 հազար 900 մարդ է: Քաղաքային բնակչության թիվը' 1 միլիոն 918 հազար 900 մարդ է, գյուղականը' 1 միլիոն 095 հազար: Հայաստանի բնակիչներից 1 միլիոն 572 հազար 900-ը կին են, 1 միլիոն 441 հազարը' տղամարդ:

Հիմք են ընդունվել ՀՀ 2011թ. մարդահամարի արդյունքները: Հոկտեմբերի 1-ի դրությամբ մշտական բնակչության թիվը տարեսկզբի համեմատ (3 017.1 հազար մարդ) նվազել է 3.2 հազարով, որը ձևավորվել է 2014թ.հունվար-սեպտեմբերի ընթացքում արձանագրված բնական հավելաճի' 10.4 հազ. մարդ և միգրացիայի մնացորդի (գնահատված) -13.6 հազ. մարդ, ցուցանիշների տարբերության հաշվին: Մշտական բնակչության միջին տարիքը 2014թ. տարեսկզբի դրությամբ կազմել է' 35.7 տարի, տղամարդկանց համար' 34.0, իսկ կանանց համար' 37.3 տարին:

2014թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերին արձանագրվել է 31 610 ծնված, որը 2013թ. նույն ժամանակաշրջանի համեմատ աճել Է 3.7%-ով, իսկ ծնելիության ընդհանուր գործակիցը, 1 000 բնակչի հաշվով, աճել է 0.5 պրոմիլային կետով և կազմել' 14.0‰: 2014թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերին 2013թ. նույն ժամանակաշրջանի համեմատ մահվան դեպքերն աճել են 4.5%-ով, իսկ մահացության ընդհանուր գործակիցը, 1 000 բնակչի հաշվով, համապատասխանաբար, աճել է 0.4 պրոմիլային կետով և կազմել՝ 9.4 ‰: 2014թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերին

ծնվածների թվաքանակը 1.5 անգամ գերազանցել է մահացության դեպքերը: Բնական հավելաճի գործակիցը, 1 000 բնակչի հաշվով, 2014թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերին կազմել է 4.6‰ և 2013թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերի համեմատ ցուցանիշն աճել է 0.1 պրոմիլային կետով: 2014թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերին Մարդու իմունային անբավարարության վիրուսից (ՄԻԱՎ) առաջացած հիվանդություններից գրանցվել է մահվան 15 դեպք: 2014թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերին 2013թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերի համեմատ 6.5%-ով աճել են գրանցված ամուսնությունները և կազմել 14 348 դեպք, իսկ ամուսնության ընդհանուր գործակիցը, 1 000 բնակչի հաշվով, աճել է 0.4 պրոմիլային կետով և կազմել 6.4‰:

2014թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերին արձանագրված ամուսնալուծության դեպքերը 2013թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերի համեմատ աճել են 28.1% և կազմել 3 547 դեպք, իսկ ամուսնալուծության ընդհանուր գործակիցը, 1000 բնակչի հաշվով կազմել է 1.6 ‰ և նախորդ տարվա նույն ժամանակաշրջանի համեմատ աճել է 0.4 պրոմիլային կետով:

ՀՀ-ում 2014թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերին գրանցված 1 000 ամուսնությունների համեմատ արձանագրվել է ամուսնալուծության 247 դեպք' 2013թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերին արձանագրված 205-ի համեմատ: ՀՀ կառավարությանն առընթեր ՀՀ ոստիկանության անձնագրային և վիզաների վարչության կողմից ստացված ՀՀ բնակչության պետական ռեգիստրի տեղեկատվական համակարգի վարչական հաշվառման համաձայն, 2014թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերին արձանագրվել է բնակչության տեղաշարժերի հաշվառման և հաշվառումից դուրս գրման 63 182 գրանցումներ, ներառյալ ներհա նրապետական տեղաշարժերը, որոնք կազմել են ընդամենը գրանցումների 80.1%-ը:

Ըստ 2014թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերին ՀՀ սահմանային էլեկտրոնային կառավարման տեղեկատվական համակարգով ստացված տվյալների, սահմանային անցման կետերով իրականացված արտաքին ուղևորաշրջանառության համախառն ծավալը կազմել է 4 131.1 հազ.: Ըստ ՀՀ սահմանային գրանցումների ուղևորափոխադրումների հաշվեկշիռը (մուտքերի և ելքերի տարբերությունը) 2014թ. հունվար-սեպտեմբերին կազմել է -104.2 հազ., 2013թ.-ի հունվար-սեպտեմբերի'-108.0 հազար ուղևորության համեմատ:

ՀՀ վարչատարածքային բաժանման հիմքը «Հայաստանի Հանրապետության վարչատարածքային բաժանման մասին» և «Երևան քաղաքում տեղական ինքնակառավարման մասին» ՀՀ օրենքներն են, որոնց համաձայն' ՀՀ տարածքը բաժանվում է 10 մարզերի' 48 քաղաքային ու 866 գյուղական համայնքներով և Երևանի քաղաքային համայնքի (12 վարչական շրջաններով):
