ՀՀ պատվիրակությունը նոյեմբերի 3-ից 5-ը Վիեննայում մասնակցել է ՄԱԿ-ի «Դեպի ծով ելք չունեցող զարգացող երկրների» երկրորդ համաժողովին: Պատվիրակությունը գլխավորել է ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության Գլխավոր քարտուղար Շահեն Ավագյանը:

Համաժողովի հանդիսավոր բացմանը ելույթ են ունեցել ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Բան Կի Մունը, Ավստրիայի նախագահ Հայնց Ֆիշերը, Զամբիայի, Բոլիվիայի, Զիզբաբվեի նախագահները, վարչապետներ, նախարարներ և այլ բարձաստիճան պատվիրակներ և միջազգային տարբեր կառույցների ղեկավարներ: Համաժողովի նահագահող է ընտրվել Ավստրիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Սեբաստիան Կուրցը:

Համաժողովի հիմնական նպատակն է ամփոփելու 2003թ. Ալմաթիում ընդունված Գործողությունների ծրագրի իրականացումը, ընդհանուր քննարկումների միջոցով ուրվագծելու միջազգային առևտրի և տարանցիկ փոխադրումների ոլորտների արդյունավետ միջազգային և տարածաշրջանային ռազմավարությունները, ինչպես նաև վերահաստելու միջազգային հանրության հանձնառությունը' օժանդակելու դեպի ծով ելք չունեցող զարգացող երկրներին' դիմագրավելու տնտեսական զարգացման համար խոչընդոտ հանդիսացող մարտահրավերները:

Համաժողովի լիագումար նիստին իր ելույթում Շահեն Ավագյանը մասնավորապես անդրադարձել է Հայաստանի' աշխարհագրորեն դեպի ծով ելք չունեցող երկրի տնտեսական կայուն զարգացման համար առկա առանձնահատկություններին և տարածաշրջանային համագործակցության մարտահրավերներին: Նա ներկայացրել է ՀՀ կառավարության կողմից իրականացվող զարգացման և ներդրումային ծրագրերը, տրանսպորտային ենթակառուցվածքների բարեփոխումները, ինչպես նաև ՀՀ կողմից տնտեսական բազմակողմ տարածաշրջանային և միջազգային համագործակցության ձևաչափերի մասնակցությունը:

Համաժողովի շրջանակներում ՀՀ պատվիրակությունը մասնակցել է բարձաստիճան թեմատիկ կլոր սեղանի քննարկումներին, գործարար ներդրումային համաժողովին և մի շարք այլ զուգահեռ միջոցառումների:

Համաժողովի ավարտին անդամ պետությունների կողմից ընդունվել է Վիեննայի հռչակագիրը և 2014-2024 տասնամյակի Վիեննայի Գործողությունների ծրագիրը, որում հաստատվել են դեպի ծով ելք չունեցող զարգացող 32 երկրների տնտեսական կայուն զարգացման թիրախները և դրանց իրագործման հիմնական մարտահրավերներն ու առաջնայնությունները:
