Հայաստանի գիտությունների ազգային ակադեմիայի պատմության ինստիտուտի նիստերի դահլիճում տեղի ունեցավ «Հայոց ցեղասպանության գործով Միջազգային դատարան դիմելու հիմքերն ու հնարավորությունները» գրքի շնորհանդեսը։
«Ցեղասպանության հարցում 1965թ.-ից Թուրքիան ներքաշեց հայությանը անիմաստ ճանաչման գործընթացի մեջ, և տարիներ անց պետք է փաստել, որ մենք հայտնվեցինք թուրքերի լարած թակարդում»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ գրքի շնորհանդեսի ժամանակ այսպիսի կարծիք հայտնեց ՀՀ ԳԱԱ պատմության ինստիտուտի տնօրեն, ԳԱԱ թղթակից անդամ Աշոտ Մելքոնյանը։
Աշոտ Մելքոնյանը նշեց, որ ժամանակին շատերը թերահավատորեն էին վերաբերում պահանջատիրության գաղափարին, սակայն այժմ ամենաբարձր ամբիոններից արդեն սկսել են առաջ քաշել պահանջատիրության հարցը։ «Մենք պետք է կարողանանք այս գաղափարը առաջ տանել նաև Ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցից հետո, և պետք է ողջ հայությունը միավորվի վերը նշված գաղափարի շուրջ, ինչը շատ կարևոր է»,-ընդգծեց փորձագետը։
ՀՀ սահմանադրական դատարանի աշխատակազմի իրավախորհրդատվական ծառության պետ, իրավաբանական գիտությունների թեկնածու Վլադիմիր Վարդանյանը նկատեց, որ գրքում կատարվել է լուրջ իրավական հետազոտություն, որը կօգնի իրավաբաններին պահանջատիրության հայցի ձևակերպման գործում։ «Հույս ունեմ, որ Հայաստանը և Թուրքիան շուտով կհանդիպեն միջազգային դատական ատյաններում»,- հավելեց նա։
«Մենք պետք է հասկանանք, որ, միայն իրավական հիմքեր ունենալով, մենք չենք կարող պահանջատիրության հայց ներկայացնել, քանի որ դրանից առաջ պետք է միջազգային հարթակներում ստեղծել բարենպաստ քաղաքական ֆոն՝ մեր արտասահմանյան դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցչությունների և լոբբիստական կառույցների օգնությամբ»,-ասաց աշխատության հեղինակ, ՀՀ ԳԱԱ Պատմության ինստիտուտի Հայկական հարցի եւ Հայոց ցեղասպանության պատմության բաժնի վարիչ, «Օրենքի ուժով» ՀԿ նախագահ Արմեն Մարուքյանը և հավելեց, որ գիրքը լույ ս է տեսել շնորհիվ ՀՀ Նախագահի գրասենյակի գործընկեր կազմակերպության՝ Հայաստանի երիտասարդական հիմնադրամի հայտարարած դրամաշնորհի։
«Հայոց ցեղասպանության գործով Միջազգային դատարան դիմելու հիմքերն ու հնարավորությունները» գրքի տպաքանակը 500 օրինակ է։ Շուտով աշխատության էլեկտրոնային տարբերակը կտեղադվի նաև ՀՀ ԳԱԱ Պատմության ինստիտուտի և Երևանի պետական համալսարանի պաշտոնական կայքերում:
