2014թ. նոյեմբերի 10-ին Շիրակի մարզում տեղի ունեցած ողբերգական ելքով ավտովթարի դեպքի առթիվ ՀՀ Քննչական կոմիտեի Շիրակի մարզային քննչական վարչությունում հարուցված քրեական գործի շրջանակներում «Կամազ» մակնիշի բեռնատարի վարորդ Մ.Վարդանյանին մեղադրանք է առաջադրվել՝ ՀՀ քրեական օրենսգրքի 242-րդ հոդվածի 3-րդ մասով։
Նախաքննությամբ ձեռք բերված ապացույցների համաձայն՝ «Իմէքս-Գրուպ» ՍՊ ընկերության վարորդ Մ.Վարդանյանն իրեն ամրակցված «Կամազ-53202» մակնիշի, 533 ՏՍ 61 հաշվառման համարանիշի բեռնատար ավտոմեքենայով 2014 թվականի նոյեմբերի 10-ին՝ ժամը 19:15-ի սահմաններում, խախտելով ՀՀ ՃԵԿ-ի 96 կետի, ձև № 1-ի 2.5 ճանապարհային նշանի և «Ճանապարհային երթևեկության անվտանգության ապահովման մասին» ՀՀ օրենքի 23-րդ հոդվածի 3-րդ կետի պահանջները, այն է' պարտավոր լինելով երկրորդական ճանապարհով անհավասարազոր ճանապարհների խաչմերուկին մոտենալով ճանապարհը զիջել գլխավոր ճանապարհով ընթացող տրանսպորտային միջոցներին, ինչպես նաև՝ կանգնել հատվող երթևեկելի մասի եզրից առաջ, ստեղծել է վթարային իրավիճակ, մուտք գործել խաչմերուկ և բախվել Ռազմիկ Մկրտչյանի վարած, Երևանից-Գյումրի թիվ 359 երթուղու «Գազ-32213» մակնիշի, 0811 Լ հաշվառման համարանիշի ուղևորատար ավտոմեքենային:
Արդյունքում՝ առաջացած վթարի հետևանքով «Գազ-32213» մակնիշի ուղևորատար ավտոմեքենան հրդեհվել է՝ անզգուշությամբ առաջացնելով նշված ավտոմեքենայի վարորդ Ռազմիկ Մկրտչյանի, ինչպես նաև ուղևորներ Մարինե Նազարյանի, Արամայիս Թումանյանի, Վանիկ Սարգսյանի, Հաբեթ Սեդրակյանի, Գայանե Սեդրակյանի և Դավիթ Հարությունյանի մահը: Ուղևորներ Կարեն Բաղդասարյանը, Հովհաննես Չախոյանը, Սամվել Հակոբյանը, Զարուհի Հովհաննիսյանը, Ալբերտ Շախնազարյանը, Հասմիկ Հովհաննիսյանը և Էդմոն Սիմոնյանը տարբեր աստիճանի այրվածքներով և մարմնական վնասվածքներով տեղափոխվել են «Գյումրի բժշկական կենտրոն» ՓԲ ընկերություն:
