Ադրբեջանական օդուժի կողմից նոյեմբերի 12-ին ուսումնավարժական թռիչքի ժամանակ ուղղաթիռի խոցումը սադրանք էր, որը մշակված էր նախապես: Այս մասին հայտարարեց ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը նոյեմբերի 20-ին «Եռաբլուր» պանթեոնում լրագրողների հետ ճեպազրույցում: «Ուղղաթիռի անձնակազմն ուսումնավարժական թռիչքների ժամանակ է խոցվել մեր տարածքում: Սա բոլոր տիպի նորմերի խախտում է: Իրենք տեղյակ էին ուսումնավարժական զորավարժությունների անցկացման մասին և բնական է, որ այդ ժամանակ մարտական պատրաստավածությունը բարձրանում է և կարծում եմ, որ ուղղաթիռը խոցելու ցուցումը նախապես էր տրված»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ ասաց Սեյրան Օհանյանը՝ հավելելով, որ այս տարիների ընթացքում իրականացված բոլոր տիպի խախտումները սադրանքներ են, որպեսզի լարվածության համապատասխան աստիճան ապահովվի և Ադրբեջանը բանակցություններում առաջընթաց գրանցի:
Ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական սահմանին և շփման գծում իրավիճակը լարված է: Ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական սահմանի արևելյան հատվածի օդային տարածքում նոյեմբերի 12-ին ժամը 13.45-ի սահմաններում, ուսումնավարժական թռիչքի ժամանակ ադրբեջանական ԶՈՒ-ի կողմից հրադադարի ռեժիմի խախտման արդյունքում խոցվել է ԼՂՀ ՌՕՈւ ՄԻ-24 ուղղաթիռը: Խոցման վայրը շփման գծին չափազանց մոտ է: Հակառակորդը շարունակում է տարբեր տրամաչափի հրաձգային զենքերից ինտենսիվ կրակ վարել դեպքի վայրի ուղղությամբ: Անձնակազմի հրամանատարն է եղել մայոր Սերգեյ Սահակյանը: Մյուս երկու զինծառայողներն էին լեյտենանտ Ազատ Սահակյանը և ավագ լեյտենենտ Սարգիս Նազարյանը:
Նոյեմբերի 12-ին կատարվածի առնչությամբ ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խումբը հաղորդագրություն էր տարածելու դատապարտել կատարվածը: Եվրամիությունը, դատապարտելով կատարվածը, կոչ արել միջադեպի մանրամասները պարզելու համար անհապաղ սկսել հետաքննություն և արդյունքները ներկայացնել միջազգային հանրությանը: Հայտարարությամբ հանդես է եկել նաև ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարությունը:
Նոյեմբերի 19-ին ԼՂՀ-ն երկրորդ անգամ է պաշտոնապես դիմել Կարմիր խաչին, իսկ նոյեմբերի 20-ին ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խումբը հայտարարություն է տարածել կոչ անելով Ադրբեջանին թույլ տալ խոցված ուղղաթիռի վայրում ուսումնասիրություն կատարել:
