Ղարաբաղա-ադրբեջանական սահմանի օդային տարածքում նոյեմբերի 12-ին ուսումնավարժական թռիչքի ժամանակ ադրբեջանական զինված ուժերի կողմից խոցված հայկական ուղղաթիռի օդաչու,
25-ամյա ավագ լեյտենանտ Սարգիս Նազարյանի մտերիմները մինչեւ վերջ հրաշքի էին սպասում՝ հուսալով, որ գուցե նա կենդանի է։ Սարգիսի մտերիմները դժվարանում են նրա մասին անցյալ ժամանակով խոսել, ամեն անգամ շենքի մուտքից դուրս գալով՝ նրան են հիշելու: «Մենք որ դուրս ենք գալիս շքամուտքից, դիմացը պատ է, էդ պատի տակ մագլցող վայրի խաղող էր տնկել, որ բարձրանա, այդ պատը փակի: Երկու տարի առաջ էլ ինձ ասում էր, որ իր աշխատավայրում ոչ մի ծառ չկա, ծաղիկ չկա, բույս չկա: Մենք այգի ունենք, էդ շիթլիները ես հավաքել էի, տվեցի իրան, որ տանի, տնկի: Փոքրիկ ծառեր էր տնկել, ինքն էր գնում ջրում: Վերջերս էլ ասում էր, որ ահագին մեծացել են այդ ծառերը: Մենք Սարգիսին պարապ կանգնած չենք տեսել, միշտ զբաղված էր»,- հիշեց Սարգիսի հարեւանուհին՝ Բելլա Բոտոյանը: Մտերիմների խոսքով՝ Սարգիսն իր հայրենասիրությունը, աշխատասիրությունը ժառանգել է ծնողներից:
«Պատահական չէ, որ նման ընտանիքում նման երեխա է ծնվել, որովհետեւ երբ սկսվեց ղարաբաղյան շարժումը, ամբողջ պայքարի ընթացքում ծնողները մեծ մասնակցություն ունեցան, իր ծնողները առաջին հերթին մեծ հայրենասերներ են»,- ասաց հարեւանուհիներից Անահիտ Զաքարյանը: Հարեւանուհու խոսքով՝ Սարգիսի մայրը դեմ էր, որ որդու եւ նրա երկու ծառայակիցների մարմինները բերելու համար իրենց կյանքը վտանգեն մյուսները. «Վշտի ամբողջ ծանրության տակ կքված մայրը չէր ուզում, որ իր որդուն ու մյուս զոհվածներին բերելու համար նոր զոհեր տրվեին, որովհետեւ ասում էր՝ յուրաքանչյուրը մի ընտանիքի ճրագ են: Չէր ուզում էն ցավը, որ ինքը տեսել էր, մյուսներն էլ տեսնեն: Մայրն ասում էր՝ որդիս ոնց որ իմ քահանան լինի, բարձրաձայն կարող եմ իմ մտքերը կիսել իր հետ, որովհետեւ այնպիսի պատասխաններ է տալիս, որ միանագամից խաղաղվում եմ»։
