Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ. Ամենայն Հայոց կաթողիկոսը ԼՂՀ ռազմաօդային ուժերի կործանված ուղղաթիռի զոհված անձնակազմի հոգեհանգստյան արարողության ժամանակ իր խոսքն է ուղղել զոհվածների հարազատներին ու բարեկամներին: Կաթողիկոսը նշել է.
«Սիրելի սգակիր ժողովուրդ,
Վշտով են համակված մեր հոգիները: Մեծ ցավ էր ամենքիս համար օրեր առաջ ուսումնավարժական թռիչքի ժամանակ ադրբեջանական զինուժի կողմից դավադրաբար խոցված հայկական ուղղաթիռի անձնակազմի կորուստը:
Բոլորս մեր խոնարհումն ենք բերում զոհված մեր անմեղ զավակների հիշատակին: Կորստի ծանր պահերին միմյանց զորակցությունը սփոփանք է վշտացյալների սրտերին, ինչպես ասում է Պողոս առաքյալը. «Հայրը գթությունների և Աստված ամենայն մխիթարության, որ մխիթարում է մեզ մեր բոլոր նեղություններում, որպեսզի կարող լինենք մխիթարել նրանց, ովքեր ամեն տեսակ նեղությունների մեջ են» (Բ Կորնթ. 1.3-4): Մեր սրտակցությունն ու ցավակցությունն ենք հայտնում զոհվածների ընտանիքների անդամներին, հարազատներին, մերձավորիներին ու զինակից ընկերներին:
Խստորեն դատապարտում ենք Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հիմնախնդրի խաղաղ կարգավորման գործընթացը խաթարող Ադրբեջանի ռազմատենչ, սադրիչ գործողությունները, որոնց դրսևորումը եղավ նաև այս ոճրագործությունը՝ հայկական ուղղաթիռի կործանումը և մեր օդաչուների ողբերգական մահը:
Խոցված ուղղաթիռի անձնակազմի աճյունների դուրս բերմանը բոլոր միջոցներով խոչընդոտելու Ադրբեջանի անմարդկային քայլերը, մարդասիրական և բարոյական համամարդկային նորմերի անտեսումը ստիպեցին Արցախի պաշտպանության բանակին դիմելու հատուկ գործողության: Այսօր մեր սրտերը համակված են ոչ միայն ցավով, այլև հպարտության զգացումով, որ մեր քաջարի ու անվեհեր մարտիկները հերոսաբար կարողացան իրականացնել իրենց առաքելությունը՝ դուրս բերելով զոհված օդաչուների աճյունները:
Ադրբեջանի կողմից հրադադարի անընդմեջ խախտումները, դիվերսիոն գործողությունները, սահմանամերձ բնակավայրերի պարբերաբար գնդակոծությունները, որոնց հավելվեց այս ոճրագործությունը, լուրջ վտանգ և սպառնալիք են տարածաշրջանի փխրուն խաղաղության համար և անմեղ կյանքեր են խլում: Մեր ժողովուրդը աստվածապատվեր խաղաղության կողմնակից է և այսօր էլ շարունակում է ջանքեր ներդնել մեզ պարտադրված պատերազմից հետո պահպանելու թանկ գնով ձեռք բերված խաղաղությունը, քանզի Աստվածապարգև կյանքը գերագույն արժեք է, սուրբ ու նվիրական, և աստվածային կամքին հակառակ ե ն բռնություններն ու ոտնձգությունը մարդկային կյանքի և ազատ ապրելու իրավունքի դեմ:
Սիրելի սգակիր հայորդիներ, այսօր մենք միասնական աղոթակցությամբ հայց ենք բարձրացնում առ Ամենակալն Աստված, որպեսզի չխաթարվի խաղաղությունը տարածաշրջանում, որպեսզի մեր ժողովուրդը հարկադրված չլինի զենքով և իր զավակի կյանքի թանկ գնով պաշտպանելու իր ազատ ու անկախ ապրելու իրավունքը: Աղոթում ենք, որ Երկնավորի ամենախնամ Սուրբ Աջը հովանի ու պահապան լինի Հայաստան և Արցախ հայրենի մեր երկրին, մեր ժողովրդին՝ ի սփյուռս աշխարհի, պահապան լինի մեր բոլոր զինվորներին և միշտ աննկուն պահի քաջարի ոգին և հաղթական' բազուկը հայրենյաց հերոս պաշտպանների: Հայցում ենք Ամենագութ Տիրոջից, որ երկնքի արքայության հավիտենական հանգրվաններում երանություն և հանգստություն պարգևի լույս հոգիներին զոված հայոց արժանավոր զավակների և Սուրբ Հոգու բյուր շնորհներով մխիթարի և սփոփի սգակիր սրտերը զոհվածների ընտանյաց անդամների, հարազատների և մերձավորների:
