«Ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է. «Երեկ մի քանի լրատվամիջոցների, այդ թվում՝ «Ժամանակի» լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը «Օրինաց երկիր» կուսակցության նախագահ Արթուր Բաղդասարյանն ասաց, որ ՕԵԿ-ը ոչ իշխանական եռյակի հետ առողջ կերպով համագործակցում է, եւ այդ համագործակցությունը գնալով խորանում է:
Արդյոք ՕԵԿ-ը ցանկանո՞ւմ է մտնել ոչ իշխանական եռյակ, կամ եռյակի ուժերը պատրա՞ստ են ընդունել ՕԵԿ-ին՝ հարցին Ա. Բաղդասարյանը պատասխանեց, թե ՕԵԿ-ի օրակարգում եռյակին միանալու խնդիր չկա, կա եռյակի հետ սերտորեն համագործակցելու ցանկություն:
ՕԵԿ ղեկավարը նաեւ հայտարարեց, որ հանդիպել է «Բարգավաճ Հայաստան» կուսակցության նախագահ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի հետ: «Հանդիպում եմ ունեցել Գ. Ծառուկյանի հետ, քննարկել ենք մեր երկրում ստեղծված ներքաղաքական հարցեր: Կարող եմ ասել, որ շատ հարցերում ունենք ընդհանուր մոտեցումներ»,- ասաց նա:
ՕԵԿ նախագահը փորձեց հիշել իր կուսակցության անցած 18 տարիները, եւ «Ժամանակը» նրան հիշեցրեց 2008թ. Մարտի 1-ի իրադարձությունների մասին: Ինչպես գիտենք, այդ ժամանակ Ա. Բաղդասարյանը նախագահի թեկնածու էր, հանդես էր գալիս ընդդիմության դիրքերից: Բայց նախագահական ընտրություններից հետո նրա կուսակցությունը միացավ Հանրապետական կուսակցության գլխավորությամբ կազմավորվող կոալիցիային: Ընդ որում, մինչ այդ Ա. Բաղդասարյանը որոշակի բանակցություններ էր վարում նաեւ այդ ժամանակ հիմնական ընդդիմության թեկնածու Լեւոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանի հետ: Արդյունքում 2008թ. փետրվարի 26-ին ՕԵԿ-ը ԲՀԿ-ի, ՀՀԿ-ի ու Դաշնակցության հետ կազմեց կոալիցիա, իսկ մի քանի օր անց տեղի ունեցան Մարտի 1-ի արյունոտ դեպքերը: Այդ ժամանակ կարծիքներ էին հնչում, թե Ա. Բաղդասարյանն իր այդ քայլով պարզապես նպաստեց այդ իրադարձություններին:
Երեկ ի պատասխան մեր հիշեցմանը Ա. Բաղդասարյանն ասաց, որ Մարտի 1-ի ու այդ շրջանում իրենց գործունեության մասին շատ է խոսել եւ հիմա չի ցանկանում անդրադառնալ: «ՕԵԿ-ին քննադատել են մի իրողության մեջ, թե փետրվարի 26-ին՝ մարտի 1-ից մի քանի օր առաջ, ինչու մաս կազմեցիք կոալիցիային: Հայրենակիցներ, մաս կազմեցինք, որ երկրում արյուն չհոսի, մաս կազմեցինք երկրում փոփոխություններ իրականացնելու համար: Մաս կազմեցինք, մի քանի տարի աշխատեցինք եւ տեսանք, որ մենք չենք կարողանում իրականացնել այն փոփոխությունները, որ ուզում ենք: Եվ թողեցինք՝ դուրս եկանք: Հիմա ի՞նչ են ասում»,- հարց հնչեցրեց ՕԵԿ ղեկավարը»։
