«Շիրակ կենտրոն» լրատվականը հայտնում է, որ այսօր կեսգիշերն անց Գյումրու կենտրոնական փողոցներից մեկում խաղաղ անցորդի վրա, առանց որևէ բացատրության, հարձակվել է սառը զենքով և ռիտինե մահակով զինված հանցագործը։
«Վաղ առավոտյան մենք հանդիպեցինք տուժողի հետ։ Նա գյումրեցիներին իր խաղաղ բնավորությամբ հայտնի անձնավորություն է։ Նրա նման մարդկանց համար է, որ ժողովուրդն ասում է, թե կյանքում անգամ ճանճ սպանած չկա։ Մեր հանդիպման ժամանակ Վազգենը պատմեց հետևյալը։ Կեսգիշերից հետո ոտքով տուն վերադառնալիս Շիրակի մարզպետարանի շենքի մոտակայքում զգացել է, որ իրեն հետևող կա։ Շուտով անհայտ անձը վերարկուն կիսով չափ գլխին քաշած, մի ձեռքին ռետինե մահակ, մյուսին դաշույն, հավասարվել է իրեն ու հարցրել է, թե չի՞ վախենում իրենից, ապա չսպասելով պատասխանի, ամբողջ ուժով մահակով խփել է դեմքին։
Հարվածից ինքը բարեբախտաբար ամբողջովին ուշաթափ չի եղել, վազել է դեպի մոտակա սպասարկման օբյեկտներից մեկը, պատուհանները ծեծելով օգնություն է խնդրել։ Տուժողի պատմելով՝ հանցագործը հայհոյանքներով ակնթարթային հեռացել է։ Այնուհետև տուժողը զանգահարել է ոստիկանություն։ Որոշ ժամանակ անց ուստիկանության ուղեկցությամբ նրան տեղափոխել են բժշկական կենտրոն, որտեղ ցուցաբերել են առաջին օգնություն։
Այս պատմության մեջ այլ հետաքրքրական դրվագներ էլ կան։ Առաջինը, որ բուժօգնության համար սկզբում գումար են պահանջել, ապա իմանալով, որ նա անվճարունակ է և ուստիկանության կողմից է ուղարկված, այնուամենայնիվ անվճար սպասարկել են։
Երկրորդ, իրավապահները լրացուցիչ քննության համար նրան ոստիկանություն են հրավիրել տասն օր հետո, երբ վերջապես կավարտվեն ազատ օրերը… Երրորդ, որքան էլ որ զարմանալի է, փողոցներում ոստիկանության կողմից որևէ հերթապահություն չկա։ Իհարկե, Գյումրիին վատ ծանոթ մարդիկ չեն կարող պատկերացնել, թե այդ պողոտան ինչ է իրենից ներկայացնում։
