Երիտասարդների և սիրո բարեխոս Սուրբ Սարգիս զորավարի հիշատակության օր Հայ առաքելական եկեղեցին այս տարի կնշի հունվարի 31-ին: Ինչպես տեղեկանում ենք Արարատյան Հայրապետական թեմի կայքից, մինչ այդ Արարատյան Հայրապետական թեմը և Ճարտարապետության և շինարարության ազգային համալսարանի ուսանողական խորհուրդը հայտարարում են երիտասարդների արագահաս բարեխոս «Սուրբ Սարգսից՝ Տյառնընդառաջ» խորագրով ստեղծագործական ցուցահանդես-մրցույթ: Համանման մրցույթ են կազմակերպել նաև Հակոբ Կոջոյանի անվան գեղարվեստի դպրոցը և Հայկական պետական մանկավարժական համալսարանը:
Ցուցահանդես-մրցույթի մասնակիցները կմրցեն հետևյալ ժանրերում. գեղանկարչություն, գրաֆիկա, համակարգչային դիզայն, քանդակ, դեկորատիվ-կիրառական արվեստ:
Սբ Սարգիս զորավարն ամենասիրված սրբերից է: Իր որդու` Մարտիրոսի և 14 քաջ մարտիկների հետ նա նահատակվել է հանուն քրիստոնեական հավատքի: Արիության համար Սբ Սարգիսը Մեծն Կոստանդիանոս կայսեր (285-337) կողմից կարգվում է իշխան և սպարապետ` Հայաստանին սահմանակից Կապադովկիայում: Նա ոչ միայն գերազանց սպարապետ էր, այլև հիանալի քարոզիչ: Օգտվելով կայսեր հոժարությունից` իր իշխանության տակ գտնվող քաղաքներում քանդում է մեհյաններ, կառուցում եկեղեցիներ, տարածում քրիստոնեությունը:
Սբ Սարգիս Զորավարի տոնը Հայաստանում ընդունված է նշել ոչ միայն եկեղեցական ծեսով, աղոթքով, այլև ժողովրդական սովորույթներով, որը մեզանում նվիրական ավանդություն է: Սբ Սարգիս զորավարը երիտասարդների արագահաս բարեխոսն է: Նրա միջնորդությամբ հրաշքներ են տեղի ունենում: Այդ օրը երիտասարդներն աղոթում են սրբին, որ իրենց աղոթքները հասցնի առ Աստված: Ս. Սարգիսը սիրո երազանքն իրականացնող սուրբ է:
Տոնին նախորդող գիշերը երիտասարդներն աղի բլիթ են ուտում, որի հետ կապում են իրենց փեսացուի կամ հարսնացուի երազահայտնությունը: Այդ օրը հիշատակելի սովորություններից է փոխինդով մատուցարանը դնել տան տանիքին կամ պատշգամբին և սպասել Ս. Սարգիս զորավարի ձիու պայտի հետքին: Ըստ ավանդույթի` Սբ Սարգիսը պետք է հրեշտակների ուղեկցությամբ անցնի և ում մատուցարանի մեջ դրված ալյուրի կամ փոխինդի մեջ թողնի իր սպիտակ ձիու պայտի հետքը, այդ տարի կիրականանա հավատացյալի երազանքը: Տոնի առթիվ սիրահարված երիտասարդները միմյանց բացիկներ և քաղցրավենիք են նվիրում: Տոնի օրը Սբ Սարգիս Զորավարի անունը կրող եկեղեցիներում մատուցվում է Սբ Պատարագ, որից հետո կատարվում երիտասարդների օրհնության կարգ:
