«Հայկական ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է. «Չնայած Գյումրիի սպանդի հիմնական կասկածյալ Վալերի Պերմյակովի ռուսական 102-րդ ռազմաբազայի տարածքում գտնվելը էականը խոչընդոտներ է ստեղծում նախաքննության համար, հայաստանյան քննչական մարմինները ունեն բավարար նյութեր մի քանի առանցքային հարցերի պատասխանելու համար: Հիմնական հարցերից մեկը, որ հենց սպանության առաջին օրից շրջանառվում է հանրության շրջանում, հետեւյալն է. արդյո՞ք Պերմյակովը միայնակ է գործել, այսինքն մենա՞կ է սպանել Ավետիսյանների ընտանիքի վեց անդամներին:
Հայաստանի իրավապահ մարմինները ձեռքի տակ բավարար նյութեր ունեն այս ուղղությամբ առաջ շարժվելու համար: Նրանք դեպքի վայրում հայտնաբերել եւ առգրավվել են սպանության ենթադրյալ գործիքը Կալաշնիկովի ավտոմատը, որն ըստ ամենայնի պատկանում է Պերմյակովին: Եվ ուրեմն, դատաձգաբանական փորձաքննությունը կարող է պատասխանել մի շատ կարեւոր հարցի. Ավետիսյանների ընտանիքի բոլոր անդամները սպանվել են այդ նո՞ւյն ավտոմատից, թե ոչ: Եթե այո, դա կդառնա եւս մեկ հիմնավորում այն բանի, որ մարդասպանը միայնակ է գործել, եթե ոչ սա արդեն 180 աստիճանով կփոխի քննության տրամաբանությունը եւ կնշանակի, որ Պերմյակովի հետ եղել են այլ մարդիկ նույնպես: Նախօրեին Քննչական կոմիտեի տարածած հաղորդագրության մեջ ասվում է, որ այլոց շարքում նշանակվել է դատաձգաբանական համալիր փորձաքննություն: Սա նշանակում է, որ առաջիկայում մենք կունենանք այդ շատ կարեւոր հարցի պատասխանը, բոլորը սպանվել են նո՞ւյն զենքից, թե տարբեր:
Շաբաթ օրը Քննչական կոմիտեի տարածած հաղորդագրության մեջ եւս մեկ հետաքրքիր դրվագ կա. այնտեղ ասվում է, որ նախաքննության մարմինը բջջային օպերատորներից պահանջել է Ավետիսյանների ընտանիքի անդամների ելքային եւ մուտքային զանգերը, որովհետեւ տվյալներ կան, որ հանցագործությունից հետո Պերմյակովը կարող է օգտագործած լինել նրանց հեռախոսները: Ուսումնասիրվում են նաեւ Ավետիսյանների տան մերձակա փողոցներում տեսանկարահանող սարքերի առկայությունը եւ այլն: Այս ամենը նշում ենք ընդգծելու համար, որ Պերմյակովի բացակայությունը, չնայած մեծ խոչընդոտ է հայաստանյան իրավապահների համար, բայց քննչական աշխատանք իրականացնելու հսկայական դաշտ կա, եւ այս ուղղությունները կարող են բազմաթիվ կարեւոր հարցերի պատասխաններ տալ: Այս ամենը, սակայն, չի նսեմացնում Պերմյակովին Հայաստանի իրավապահ մարմիններին հանձնելու հարցի հրատապությունը»։
