Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն այսօր ընդունել է Ճապոնիայի արտաքին գործերի պետական նախարար Մինորու Կիուչիին:
Ողջունելով բարձրաստիճան հյուրին՝ Նախագահը միջպետական կապերի ամրապնդման տեսանկյունից կարևորել է հաճախակի փոխայցելությունները և գոհունակությամբ ընդգծել, որ վերջին տարիներին Հայաստանի ու Ճապոնիայի միջև հարաբերությունները դինամիկ զարգանում են և նոր բովանդակություն ստանում:
Սերժ Սարգսյանը և պետնախարար Մինորու Կիուչին երկուստեք կարևորել են ս.թ. հունվարի 1-ից Հայաստանում Ճապոնիայի դեսպանության բացումը, որը, նրանց համոզմամբ, զգալիորեն կնպաստի հայ-ճապոնական բարեկամական հարաբերությունների հետագա խորացմանն ու փոխգործակցության օրակարգի ընդլայնմանը: Հանրապետության Նախագահը նշել է, թե ջերմությամբ է հիշում 2012թ. Ճապոնիա կատարած իր պաշտոնական այցը և ձեռքբերված բարձր մակարդակի պայմանավորվածությունները:
Մինորու Կիուչին, Գյումրիի ողբերգության կապակցությամբ, Ճապոնիայի կառավարության և անձամբ իր անունից խորին ցավակցություն է հայտնել Հանրապետության Նախագահին, զոհվածների հարազատներին և ամբողջ հայ ժողովրդին:
Հանդիպման ընթացքում զրուցակիցներն անդրադարձել են տարածաշրջանի խնդիրներին և մարտահրավերներին, ԼՂ հակամարտության խաղաղ կարգավորման գործընթացի ներկայիս վիճակին, առկա մտահոգություններին, ընթացիկ տարում ՀՀ-ում պետականորեն նշվող Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի թեմային, մտքեր փոխանակել նաև միջազգային արդի խնդիրների շուրջ:
ՀՀ Նախագահը և Ճապոնիայի արտաքին գործերի պետնախարարը երկկողմ հարաբերությունների զարգացումից բացի, կարևորել են նաև Հայաստանի և Ճապոնիայի համագործակցությունը միջազգային կազմակերպությունների շրջանակներում: Փոխգործակցության խորացման առումով նրանք ընդգծել են միջխորհրդարանական կապերի ամրապնդման, երկու երկրների միջև հումանիտար և մշակութային փոխանակումների ակտիվացման, հեռանկարային և փոխշահավետ մի շարք ոլորտներում համագործակցության ընդլայնման անհրաժեշտությունը:
