Այսօր ավելին, քան երբևէ մենք առերեսվում ենք ահաբեկչական խմբերի աննախադեպ ակտիվ գործողություններին: Փարիզյան ողբերգությունը ցնցեց ողջ քաղաքակիրթ աշխարհը: Սպանությունները ոչնչով չեն կարող արդարացված լինել: Եվ ցավալի է, որ աշխարհի ցանկացած վայրում առկա է այս խնդիրը` լինի դա Եվրոպա, Աֆրիկա, Ավստրալիա թե Ամերիկյան մայրցամաքները: Միջազգային հանրությունը պետք է համախմբի ուժերը` ահաբեկչության դեմ համատեղ պայքարելու համար միասնական ճակատ ստեղծելու նպատակով:
Մենք` հայերս, տուժել ենք և շարունակում ենք տուժել ահաբեկչական գործողություններից: 20րդ դարի սկզբում հայերը տարհանվեցին հայրենի հողերից` դատապարտվելով խոշտանգումների և մահվան, այդ թվում և սիրիական անապատներում: Այն քչերը, ովքեր կարողացան փրկվել, կառուցեցին այս նոր հողերում եկեղեցիներ և դպրոցներ, սակայն հարյուր տարի անց Հայոց Մեծ Եղեռնից փրկվածների ժառանգները դարձան այստեղ հաստատված ահաբեկչական խմբավորումների թիրախ: Քրիստոնյա և այլ փոքրամասնությունների նկատմամբ սկսվեցին բռնություններ, խոշտանգումներ, ի թիվս այլ բարբարոսությունների ավերակների վերածվեցին Ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակը հավերժացնող Սրբոց Նահատակաց հայկական եկեղեցին` Դեյր-էզ-Զորում, և Հալեպի հայկական եկեղեցին:
ՆԱՏՕ-ի և ՄԱԿ-ի կողմից կազմակերպվող խաղաղապահ գործողություններին մասնակցում է նաև Հայաստանը՝ այդպիսով փորձելով ապահովել խաղաղություն ոչ միայն այս տարածաշրջանում, այլև իր մասնաբաժինն է ներդնում աշխարհի տարբեր մասերում խաղաղության պահպանման համար: Ի հակադրություն դրան՝ Ադրբեջանը որդեգրել է մի մարտավարություն, որը բնորոշ է ահաբեկչական խմբավորումներին: Դրա ակնհայտ օրինակը հայ հասարակ գյուղացին էր` Կարեն Պետրոսյանը, ով սխալմամբ հայտնվելով Ադրբեջանի տարածքում՝ ձերբակալվեց, նվաստացվեց տեսախցիկների առջև, ինչը ահաբեկչական խմբավորումներին բնորոշ մարտավարություն է, և հաջորդ օրը հայտնաբերվեց “հանկարծակի” մահացած: Դեռ չեմ նշում Սաֆարովի դեպքը, այն մարդասպանի, ով փառավորվեց Ադրբեջանում միայն այն “հերոսության” համար, որ դաժանաբար սպանել էր քնած հայ դասընկերոջը:
Բաքուն ոչ միայն արհամարհում է ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահող երկրների և միջազգային հանրության` ուժի չկիրառման և վստահության վրա հիմնված չափանիշները, այլև գործում է ի հակառակ դրանց՝ կրելով ամբողջ պատասխանատվությունը իրավիճակի թեժացման համար: Սա ցայտուն արտահայտում է, որ Ադրբեջանը դարձել է լուրջ սպառնալիք ոչ միայն Հարավային Կովկասի անվտանգության ու կայունության, այլև ավելի լայն շրջանակների համար:
