Մեր երկրի եւ ժողովրդի համար բանակն ավելին է, քան պարզապես պետական կառույց: Այդ մասին ասվում է Բանակի օրվա առթիվ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի շնորհավորական ուղերձում:
«Հայոց բանակը բառացիորեն ամեն օր եւ ամեն գիշեր պաշտպանում է մեր կյանքը՝ շատ հաճախ մարտի բռնվելով մեր հայրենիքի հանդեպ ոտնձգություններ կատարող ելուզակների դեմ: Այսօր մեր վզին փորձում են փաթաթել նոր տիպի պատերազմ, որովհետեւ բոլոր նախորդ տիպերի պատերազմներում նրանք տանուլ են տվել: Այսպես կոչված «դիվերսիաների պատերազմը» նույնպես տանուլ են տալու: Դրա անհեռանկարայնությունն արդեն ակնհայտ է նույնիսկ նրանց համար, ովքեր մեզ անվանում են «թշնամի»:
Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարում մեզ՝ հայերիս, ոմանք որոշել են վախեցնել մարդասպանությամբ՝ հայասպանությամբ: Խոստովանում ենք. 100 տարի առաջ կատարվածը պետականորեն մշակված եւ հաջող իրականացված ցեղասպանություն էր: Նաեւ գիտակցում ենք, որ նման ծրագիր կարող էր իրականացվել միայն հայկական պետականության բացակայության պայմաններում:
Այսօր՝ այս տոնական օրը, դժվար հասկացողների համար ես մեկ անգամ եւս հայտարարում եմ. հայ ժողովուրդը վերադարձել է կյանք, վերադարձել է ժողովուրդների միջազգային ընտանիք իր պետականությամբ եւ բանակով: Նա վերադարձել է դժոխքից: Դժոխքը վերապրածներին ահաբեկելու փորձերը լուրջ չեն: Նման փորձերը ուշացած են առնվազն 100 տարով:
Հարց է ծագում. ի՞նչ կապ ունեն 100 տարի առաջ կատարված դեպքերը մեր այսօրվա բանակի հետ: Արդյո՞ք, որեւէ մեկի հիվանդ ուղեղում կա Հայաստանը վերացնելու ծրագիր: Պատասխանում եմ. այդ ծրագրերը ոչ միայն ոմանց ուղեղներում են, այլեւ հարեւան երկրի բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաների շուրթերին: Դրանք հնչում են բոլոր հնարավոր բարձրախոսներից: Ըստ նրանց՝ ոչ միայն Արցախը, այլեւ Հայաստանի ողջ տարածքը «պատմական ադրբեջանական» հողեր են, եւ այդ հողերը ենթակա են այսպես ասած` «ազատագրման»: Մենք շատ լավ գիտակցում ենք նման «ծրագրային» հռետորաբանության թիրախները:
Իսկ ի՞նչ ենք ասում մենք: Ասում ենք՝ Արցախի ազատ ապրելու իրավունքը չի քննարկվում: Վերջակետ:
Մեր բանակը ձեւավորման օրվանից, երբ դեռեւս պաշտոնական անվանում էլ չուներ, թրծվել է պատերազմի կրակների մեջ: Նա ծնվել է որպես մեր ժողովրդի ապրելու եւ ազատագրվելու կամք, որպես նրա հույսերի, իղձերի եւ անմահության առհավատչյա:
Նման հզոր բանակ մենք վաղուց չենք ունեցել: Շնորհավորում եմ բոլորիս այս մեծ տոնի առթիվ: Մեր զինվորականներին մաղթում եմ անփորձանք ծառայություն, իսկ մեզ բոլորիս՝ խաղաղություն»,- նշել է Սարգսյանը:
