«ՉԻ»-ն դեռևս տարեվերջին էր տեղեկացրել, որ սպասվում են Թերապևտիկ և ընտանեկան ստոմատոլոգիայի ամբիոնի վարիչի ընտրություններ: Այդ պաշտոնի համար առաջադրված էին 3 թեկնածուներ՝ Թերապևտիկ և ընտանեկան ստոմատոլոգիայի ամբիոնի պրոֆեսոր Մարինա Մարգարյանը, Հայկական բժշկական ինստիտուտի մանկական ստոմատոլագիայի ամբիոնի վարիչ Լևոն Անդրեասյանը և Ստոմատոլոգիական ֆակուլտետի դեկան, Թերապևտիկ և ընտանեկան ստոմատոլոգիայի ամբիոնի դոցենտ Լազար Եսայանը:
Ընտրությունը կայացել է երեք փուլով: Առաջին՝ ամբիոնական նիստի երաշխավորության փուլում, փակ-գաղտնի ընտրություններում, ամբիոնի 21 մասնակիցներից 18-ը հաջորդ փուլի համար երաշխավորել էր Լազար Եսայանին:
Երկրորդ փուլում՝ Ստոմատոլոգիական ֆակուլտետի 30 հոգանոց խորհուրդը միաձայն՝ 30 ձայնով դարձյալ փակ-գաղտնի քվեարկությամբ ընտրել է լազար Եսայանին: Լևոն Անդրեասյանն այս փուլին չի մասնակցել, քանի որ նա համարվում է դրսից առաջադրված թեկնածու, այսինքն՝ նա համալսարանական չէ: Իսկ Մարինա Մարգարյանը ֆակուլտետի խորհրդի կողմից չի երաշխավորվել՝ ստանալով 9 ձայն:
Երեկ արդեն կայացել էր ընտրությունների վերջնական կարևորագույն փուլը: Համալսարանի մեծ՝ 80 հոգանոց գիտական խորհուրդը ընտրել է ամբիոնի վարիչ: Քվեարկությանը մասնակցել է 75 մարդ: Գաղտնի քվեարկության արդյունքում Լազար Եսայանը ստացել է ձայների ճնշող մեծամասնությունը: Վերջինիս օգտին քվեարկել է 52 մարդ, 9-ական ձայներ են ստացել մյուս երկու թեկնածուները՝ Մարինա Մարգարյանը և Լևոն Անդրեասյանը: 2 ձայն անվավեր է ճանաչվել, իսկ երեք մարդ էլ բոլորին դեմ է քվեարկել:
Այսպիսով, այսուհետ Թերապևտիկ և ընտանեկան ստոմատոլոգիայի ամբիոնի վարիչի պարտականությունները կկատարի Լազար Եսայանը: Վերջինս բավականին հարուստ կենսագրություն ունի, և համակարգում է 1986 թվականից: 1993-1999թթ. աշխատել է Երևանի թիվ 2 ստոմատոլոգիական պոլիկլինիկայում՝ որպես բժիշկ ստոմատոլոգ-թերապևտ: Այնուհետև՝ 1998-2004թթ. եղել է թիվ 14 պոլիկլինիկայի բժիշկ-ստոմատոլոգ-թերապևտը: 2004-2006թթ. աշխատել է «Սուրբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչ» ԲԿ-ի պոլիկլինիկայում՝ որպես բժիշկ-ստոմատոլոգ: Նույն թվականներին ղեկավարել է Երևանի թիվ 1 համալսարանական ստոմատոլոգիական կլինիկան: 2006-2007թթ. զբաղեցրել է «Սուրբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչ» ԲԿ-ի պոլիկլինիկայի ստոմատոլոգիական բաժանմունքի վարիչի պաշտոնը: Հենց այստեղ էլ նա հիմնադրել է ընտանեկան ստոմատոլոգիայի ամբիոնը և 2007-2010թթ. ղեկավարել է այն: 2010թ.-ից առ այսօր ՀՀ առողջապահության նախարարության գլխավոր ստոմատոլոգն է: 2011թ. ստանձնել է թիվ 1 համալսարանական ստոմատոլոգիական պոլիկլինիկայի ղեկավարի պաշտոնը: 2011թ. առ այսօր ԵՊԲՀ գլխավոր ստոմատոլոգն է: 2011թ.-ի օգոստոսի 25-ից՝ ստոմատոլոգիական ֆակուլտետի դեկանն է:
Լազար Եսայանը 2005թ. պարգևատրվել է «Մ. Հերացու անվան ոսկե մեդալով», 2008-ին՝ ՀՀ առողջապահության նախարարի «Շնորհակալական պատվոգրով», 2010-ին՝ «Ստոմատոլոգիայի նվիրյալ» ոսկե մեդալով: 2000թ. «Հայաստանի ստոմատոլոգների ասոցիացիա» վարչության անդամ է, երիտասարդության հարցերով բաժնի ղեկավար: 2009թ. ստոմատոլոգների միջազգային ակադեմիայի լիիրավ անդամ է:
