Հայաստանը մեծ հույսեր և պատրանքներ չունի Ադրբեջանի քաղաքական ուղեգծի փոփոխության առումով, թեև 2015 թվականի հունվարը նշանավորվեց հատկապես միջազգային հանրության կողմից սահմանին տեղի ունեցող միջադեպերի նկատմամբ վերաբերմունքի փոփոխությունով: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ' լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը նման կարծիք հայտնեց Պաշտպանության նախարարի խորհրդական, նախարարին առընթեր հասարակական խորհրդի նախագահ Գեղամ Հարությունյանը' վկայակոչելով Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների՝ Կրակովում արած հայտարարությունը: «Առաջին անգամ ուղղակի ասվեց, որ Ադրբեջանը պետք է հավատարիմ մնա խաղաղ եղանակով հակամարտությունը կարգավորելու իր պատավորություններին: Հայաստանի Հանրապետությանը միայն կոչ արվեց, որպեսզի միջոցներ ձեռնարկվեն լարվածությունը մեղմելու համար: Սրանով Ադրբեջանն ուղղակիորեն ճանաչվում էր որպես նախահարձակ կողմ»,- ասաց ՊՆ խորհրդականը:
Հարությունյանի գնահատմամբ' այս հարցում մեծ դեր է ունեցել հունվարի 26-ին Պաշտպանության նախարարին կից կոլեգիայի նիստին ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի ելույթը, որի ժամանակ մի քանի կարևոր զգուշացումներ արվեցին հանրապետության նախագահի կողմից: Մասնավորապես, որ Հայաստանը չի հանդուրժի շարունակական կուտակումները սահմանին: «Կարծում եմ՝ այս նախազգուշացումները լսելի եղան Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների կողմից, և հունվարի 27-ին հնչեց նրանց վերոնշյալ հայտարարությունը»,- նկատեց Հարությունյանը:
Նա հավելեց, որ հակառակորդի գործողություններն անպատիժ չեն մնում: «Մենք պատերազմի չենք ձգտում: 1990-ականներին մեզ պարտադրվել է պատերազմ, որում մենք հաղթել ենք: Լուծել ենք այն խնդիրները, որոնք անհրաժեշտ էին լուծել պատերազմի ընթացքում և այսօր ցանկանում ենք հաստատել տևական խաղաղություն: Հայկական կողմը մեծագույն զիջման գնաց 1994 թվականին հրադադար ստորագրելով: Այժմ էլ պատրաստ ենք փոխհամաձայնության ոգով բանակցային սեղանի շուրջ հասնել խաղաղ կարգավորման: Իսկ հակառակորդի գործողություններին մեր պատասխաններն իրենց արդյունավետությամբ ավելի բարձր են: Հակառակորդը իր ռեժիմի արկածախնդրությանը ստիպված է լինում հատուցել մարդկային մեծ կորուստներով»,- ընդգծեց նախարարի խորհրդականը:
