«Լեռնային Ղարաբաղ. երկիր, որը գոյություն չունի». միջազգային զբոսաշրջային Wanderlust և MSN պորտալները հատուկ հոդված են տպագրել Արցախի՝ օտարերկրացիներին քիչ հայտնի գողտրիկ անկյունների մասին: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հոդվածի սկզբում հեղինակը'Մարկ Սթրաթոնը, նշել է, որ Իրանից հյուսիս ասես ատամնավոր թագ տեղակայված Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը դե ֆակտո այսօր դարձել է Հայաստանի արևելյան շարունակությունը: Նա փաստել է, որ «բաժանիր, որ տիրես» սկզբունքով առաջնորդվող հենց ԽՍՀՄ առաջնորդ Ստալինն էր, որ 1921 թվականին ցանեց ներկայիս հակամարտության սերմերը և քրստոնեաբնակ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը, անջատելով Հայաստանից, միացրեց գլխավորապես մուսուլմաններով բնակեցված Ադրբեջանին:
Նախքան ԼՂ գնալը, լրագրողը նախ եղել է Երևանում, որտեղ այցելել է Մայր Հայաստան զինվորական թանգարան, ինչպես նաև Եռաբլուր, որտեղ ամփոփված են ղարաբաղյան պատերազմի զոհերից 7 հազարի աճյունները: Ղարաբաղի մայրաքաղաք Ստեփանակերտ տանող ճանապարհին նա հմայվել է Արարատ լեռով, եղել է Խոր Վիրապում, Սյունիքում, ապա արդեն Լաչինի միջանցքով (Բերձոր) մտել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղ:
«Ժամանակակից Ստեփանակերտում չկան ակնհայտ արտահայտված պատերազմական հետևանքներ, աշխույժ և թարմ փոքր մայրաքաղաքն արդյունաբերական վերածնունդ է ապրում»,- պատմում է հեղինակը՝ փաստելով, որ քաղաքն իր արմատներն է ձգում: Այցելելով Ստեփանակերտի թանգարան՝ նա զրուցել է ուղեկցորդի՝ Գայանեի հետ, ով տարածաշրջանի քրիետոնեական ժառանգության մասին փաստերը ցույց տալուց հետո պատմում է, որ պատերազմի ժամանակ երկու տարեկան է եղել: Նա ասում է, որ ինքն էլ պատրաստ է կռվել Արցախի համար, ինչը լրագրողին հիշեցրել է նախկինում իր կարդացած այն արտահայտությունը , որ «Ադբեջանի համար Ղարաբաղի հիմնախնդիրը սկզբունքայնության հարց է, իսկ հայերի համար՝ կյանքի և մահվան»:

«Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը մնում է հակասական: Եվ ես տեղյակ եմ, որ իմ ճանապարհորդության ընթացքում չեմ լսել ադրբեջանական կողմի փաստարկները: Այդուհանդերձ, այս չբացահայտված հանրապետությունը, որն այսքան հարուստ է իր հյուընկալությամբ և պատմությամբ, յուրօրինակ ներքաշող ազդեցություն է թողնում»,- եզրափակել է հեղինակը:
